Thank you for your interest in Good Stay.  Your dog is welcome in our home and we have 7 acres of field, forest and stream to play on.  Dogs that have good recall go hiking off leash and even if your dog doesn't have great recall, they can still go on the pack hike with a leash.  We also have a safe, fenced yard that the dogs have access to at all times.  Our Canine Rec Room has a heated floor to keep your pet comfortable in cold weather and we are also air conditioned.  Again, your dog is welcome in our home and because we are an open concept, it is important for your dog to be people and dog friendly and not destructive.  If your dog has any issues that we should know about, please let us know prior to your arrival.

The following is a list that should provide the basic information regarding your pet’s stay.

 

 

PRICE

 

We charge $30/day for overnight stays and day care is $20/day.   There are no extra charges for walks, hiking, play time and socializing.  If your dog requires medication, we also administer meds at no charge.

                                      

HEALTH AND SAFETY

 

ALL DOGS MUST ARRIVE ON A LEASH.   This is for the safety of your pet and everyone else, including other canine visitors. 

All dogs must be spayed or neutered and we require proof of up to date vaccinations.   Due to the fact that Kennel Cough is becoming more prevalent, we now require Bordetella to be included with their regular vaccinations. 

We are not responsible for any animals contracting highly contagious diseases, like Kennel Cough, due to the fact that dogs can carry and/or contract the disease whether they have been vaccinated or not.   We maintain a very small group of dogs here but there is still close contact and often rough play.  So, dogs can encounter the odd bump or scrape.

In the event of a serious injury or illness, we will contact our local emergency veterinary service to protect your pet.  We will do our best to contact you or your emergency contact person if a vet call is required.   Owners are responsible for any vet costs. 

 

WHAT TO BRING

 

We provide food and water dishes and leashes as required, so please do not bring these items.  Have your dog on a leash when you bring them for their stay, but you won’t need to leave it.   There are beds and blankets here for your Best Furry Friend to sleep on, so you don’t need to bring that from home.  You do need to provide enough food for the length of your dog’s stay.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

 

Pick up and drop of times are 7-9 AM and 5-7 PM.  Monday to Friday and 8-10 AM and 5-7 PM on Saturday and Sunday.   We appreciate your co-operation in adhering to these times.

Since we are an open concept facility and your dogs are welcome in our home, it is important that they are people AND dog friendly.  I cannot stress this enough, especially if you are bringing a pack, and more than one dog constitutes a pack. .

We do take every precaution to make sure that your pet has a happy, safe and fun filled staycation with us.
